The Stoney and Sparrow Memorial Award is a minor grants of sufficient funds to cover the cost of conference registration. These awards, established in memory of two beloved founding members of the Roberts Society, are open to any graduate or undergraduate student who has a paper accepted for conference presentation. Preference will be given to candidates who are first-time conference presenters. Other criteria considered by the judging panel include excellence of abstract proposal, and financial need (as established by lack/amount of other institutional funding). All candidates who fill in and submit the appropriate portion of the registration form by the stated deadline will be considered.

The Butterbean Award
The Butterbean Award ($100) for the best essay (conference paper) on the poetry of Elizabeth Madox Roberts was established in 2011 by Rebecca (Becki) Roberts Owens and the Roberts Society executive board. All conferees and Roberts Society members who have a program-accepted abstract proposal on the poetry of Roberts are eligible for this award. Criteria for this award include excellence and relevance (i.e., the paper should be directly and centrally concerned with the poetry of Roberts). All eligible candidates who fill in and submit the Butterbean Award section of the registration form by the stated deadline will be considered.
